There's a Whole Lot Going On | Kathleen Steegmans

WoW, can’t believe it’s already May 7th! There’s a lot going on so time is flying.
A short update:

Last wednesday I found out about a design contest by Bernard-Massard. The winners will have their design printed on thousands year-end limited edition bottles and will get an iPad Pro.

YaY! I’ld love to see my illustration on bottle Bernard-Massard & an iPad Pro has been on my wishlist for quite some time so I decided to enter right away. One winner will be chosen based on Facebook likes and two by a jury. Voting is open until May 16th so If you haven’t voted; please do! :) You could make me very happy and it only takes a second!

Hola! Voor degene die het nog niet zouden gezien hebben; ik doe mee aan een wedstrijd waarbij één van mijn illustraties op enkele duizenden flessen Bernard-Massard gedrukt kan worden en ik zou dat echt super cool vinden! :) Er zijn drie winnaars; twee worden gekozen door een jury en ééntje op basis van likes. I’m also preparing for an event next Thursday where I will be making a painting in front of a life audience. It’s an event for the Childcare Federation by Unizo, the Belgian Union of Independent Entrepreneurs.

Very excited & also a bit nervous about that! :) I’ll post some stories on Instagram and pictures on my Facebook page so if you don’t already, feel free to follow me! :)

And there’s more excitement! ;) In a few weeks my work will be shown in the showappartement of Home.made.stories, a new webshop that offers unique design objects, made in Europe with craftmanship and passion. The showroom is located in and above Hifi Corner, Sint-Katelijnevest 53, Antwerp.

On April 4th I started a new 100 Day Project on Instagram and I’m happy to say I made it to day 30 without skipping a day. Last Thursday I decided to have a short break because I’ve been very busy working for clients of our company, MIST, all the above and some (fun) social activities.

I’m considering whether or not to start again next Thursday after the event. May will be a very busy month and I’ld like to enter another competition. For this I would need to make 1 to 3 paintings so maybe it will be better to concentrate on that… Having decided yet… Guess we’ll see next week. ;) #ineed48hoursaday

These are some of my favourites, they all look different because the idea was to experiment with different materials and styles.
