After some conversations in the past weeks about how we can (or can not) shape our lives the way we want to, I decided to dedicate this post to the book Get Real by Lien De Pau.
Lien is an entrepreneur who travels the world fulltime. She has founded multiple companies and launched a fast growing network for female entrepreneurs (Zeker Van Haar Zaak) back in 2014. That same year she celebrated her third anniversary as a nomad in South-America. She wrote this book partly on the Spanish island of Fuerteventura and partly on the Malaysian island Penang.
Lien is 35 and wakes up every morning without an alarm clock. When she opens her eyes the first thing which comes to her mind is: “What would I love to do today?” In this books she tells her personal story and asks questions to help you find your true desires.
She shows us how we can all leave our pre-defined path, even when we feel stuck in the rat race of work, family and other obligations. We can take the leap, look for what makes us tick and find out what we really love in life.
With the above quote from Wayne W. Dyer in mind I recommend reading Get Real because it offers you a different way of looking at the way we live our lives and shows us other possibilities.
If we can’t imagine it, we can’t turn it into a reality.
And before you think this isn’t for you; I feel this book is for everybody, whether you’re single or have a family, an employee or an entrepreneur, young or old, male or female, and go on and on… :)
The illustrations and cover design of the book are done by me, myself & I. :)
